Seminar Title 5: SparkCon 2025: The Next Wave of Innovation

 I. Details of the Event/Activity

SparkCon 2025: Where Curiosity Meets Creation is a student-led technology and innovation event organized by Campus DevCon x Zellense. The event brought together students, creators, and technology enthusiasts to explore how innovation, creativity, and collaboration can spark meaningful change. It served as a platform where ideas were shared, discussed, and transformed into inspiration for future innovations.

The event featured insightful talks, interactive discussions, and engaging activities that highlighted how technology can shape the future. After each topic, a Q&A session was conducted, allowing participants to ask questions, clarify concepts, and interact directly with the speakers. To keep the energy high, the organizers also included ice breaker activities, such as a raffle roulette with prizes, which made the experience more fun and engaging.

In addition, there were several booths set up where participants could explore different tech-related initiatives and communities. Freebies such as stickers were also distributed, adding excitement and creating a more welcoming and lively atmosphere throughout the event.

II. Reflections the Event Gave Rise To (Learnings)

From SparkCon 2025, I learned that innovation thrives in environments that encourage curiosity, interaction, and collaboration. The Q&A sessions helped deepen my understanding of the topics discussed, as real questions from participants led to clearer and more practical explanations from the speakers.

I also realized that learning does not have to be purely formal—activities like ice breakers and interactive booths make the experience more enjoyable and memorable. The event showed that technology and innovation can be accessible to everyone, regardless of background, as long as there is openness to learning and collaboration.

III. Reflections on the Practical Application of the Event Learnings

The lessons from SparkCon 2025 can be applied in my academic and personal growth. I am encouraged to actively participate in discussions, ask questions, and engage with communities related to technology and innovation. The event reminded me that learning becomes more effective when it is interactive and collaborative.

I also plan to be more open to joining student organizations, visiting booths, and participating in tech-related activities that can help expand my network and skills. The experience motivated me to turn ideas into action and to continuously seek opportunities where creativity and technology intersect.

IV. Positive Feedback (On the Event Organization)

SparkCon 2025 was well-organized, engaging, and enjoyable. The inclusion of Q&A sessions after each topic made the discussions more meaningful and allowed participants to feel involved. The ice breaker activities, especially the raffle roulette with prizes, added excitement and kept the audience energized throughout the program.

The booths were a great addition, as they allowed participants to explore different tech communities and initiatives, while the stickers and small giveaways made the event more memorable. The speakers were knowledgeable and approachable, and the overall flow of the program was smooth and well-paced. The organizers successfully created a fun, interactive, and inspiring learning environment.

V. Suggestions for Improvement (For Future Activities)

While SparkCon 2025 was already impactful, future events could include more hands-on workshops or mini challenges where participants can apply what they learned in real time. Adding more booths or extending booth time would also give participants more opportunities to explore and connect with different groups.

Additionally, providing digital handouts or summaries of the talks could help participants review key points after the event. Overall, SparkCon was a successful and inspiring event, and these small improvements could make future editions even better.
